A Webster City man said he knew he had won a big prize playing the Iowa Lottery's "Super Crossword" instant-scratch game, but he needed confirmation from family members before he started to celebrate.
Robert Trausch, 51, claimed the 20th of 34 top prizes of $50,000 available in the Super Crossword game.
"I double-checked it with my kids and they reaffirmed it," Trausch said. "They had to look at it, look at it, and look at it."

Trausch also had his wife, Jill, confirm he had a winning ticket.
"She's pretty excited," he said.
Trausch claimed his prize Friday at the lottery's regional office in Mason City. He purchased his winning ticket Aug. 29 at Kum & Go, 1120 S. Commercial Ave. in Eagle Grove.
Trausch said he kept his ticket in a safe place overnight as he waited to claim his prize.
"I didn't sleep very well," he said. "Made sure it was still there and (I) wasn't dreaming."
Trausch said his lottery winnings will be used to pay bills and to help pay for a family vacation.
Super Crossword is a $5 scratch game. Players win a prize by uncovering at least three complete words in either puzzle or the complete bonus word in the play area on each ticket. The overall odds of winning a prize in the game are 1 in 3.69.
Fourteen top prizes of $50,000 are still up for grabs in Super Crossword, as well as 31 prizes of $5,000, 47 prizes of $500 and hundreds of prizes of $100.
