Readers theater to peruse ‘Best Christmas Pageant Ever’ Sunday

Play to be presented in December at WCCT

September 5, 2013
The Daily Freeman Journal

Webster City Community Theatre's Readers Theater will read "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" by Barbara Robinson, on Sunday at 4:30 pm at WCCT.

In this hilarious Christmas classic, a couple struggling to put on a church Christmas pageant is faced with casting the Herdman kids - probably the most inventively awful kids in history. Mayhem - and fun - ensue when the Herdmans collide with the Christmas story head on.

"The Best Christmas Ever, will be the December 2013 production. Auditions will be held at a later date. Director Al Yungclas will be directing the readers theater reading.

Children and adults of all ages are welcome to come to the reading of the play whether they are interested in auditioning or not. Bring you own beverage and a snack to share.

Those interested in plays, but who don't have the time to commit to rehearsals for a production, or who don't like to memorize lines, or just like reading plays are invited to attend. For more information or to suggest for future readers theaters plays, contact Readers Theater Director Sue Heerema at 832-6515.
