August 6, 2013
The Daily Freeman Journal
Bob Mitchell, the Nebraska/Iowa District Kiwanis governor, visited the Webster City Kiwanis Clubs July 30 to promote the upcoming district convention in Altoona. He had dinner at The Bridge with fellow Kiwanians from all of the District 7 Kiwanis Clubs and participated in a Kids Against Hunger food packaging session. The evening activities were promoted by the district Lt. Governor Luverne Bierle of the Webster City Noon Kiwanis Club while the packaging session was organized by the Webster City Main Street, USA Morning Kiwanis Club. The guest clubs donated $571 to the Kids Against Hunger program in Mitchell's name and 2,592 meals were packaged during the event. Above are Bierle (left), Mitchell (right) and Mitchell’s wife, Jan Burch.
