The Webster City Area Chamber will be presenting its 'From How to Wow' seminar titled "Online and Offline Marketing: Social Media Can Help" on Aug. 20 at the Kendall Young Library.
Deb Brown, Webster City Area Chamber Director, will be the presenter and will be giving this same presentation later in the month at the Preserve Iowa Summit in Burlington. She offered to present it to local businesses so they could benefit from the information as well.
"I've given this presentation in the past and knew it needed updating. Social media moves so fast and things change very quickly. It will be my honor to present in my new home town before taking it on the road," said Brown.
Brown said this presentation is designed for small businesses, both profit and non-profits, and will be useful in marketing efforts.
"You'll learn how social media is a tool you can use to tell your story and bring people in your front door to shop or visit your site," said Brown. She will share ways to use Facebook, blogging, Twitter, Google, syndication and videos. There will be a lot of information and handouts will be distributed.
The educational luncheon will be held at the Kendall Young Library in the lower meeting room. Lunch and networking will begin at 11:30 a.m. with the presentation to start shortly before noon. Cost of the educational luncheon is $15 for Chamber members and $20 for non-members. Reservations will be accepted through Aug. 19 and can be made by calling the Chamber Office at 832-2564.
