July 22, 2013
The Daily Freeman Journal

The Hamilton County Fair opens Tuesday and area residents are encouraged to submit their best pies, photographs, quilt or produce.

Pies, cookies and canned goods have long been expected entries in the Open Class Products of the Kitchen division. Top prize of $25 is offered by Monroe Family for the best pie entered. There is also a division for an Ugly Cake contest for kids.

There are Textile and Fine Art competitions along with two flower shows. Check out the 2013 Fair Book at www.hamiltoncountyfairia.com for a complete listing.

Photography entries must be in place by Tuesday before the Fair with all other categories to be checked in on Wednesday.

Pre-entry may be made at the Fair Office but is not required as exhibitors are allowed to fill out forms at the time of entry.
