Annual Bluegrass Fest returns to Stratford

Performances to be held in the city park

STRATFORD - Stratford's 29th annual Bluegrass Festival will be held Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the city park, presented by Stratford Stride.

Shows begin Friday night at 6:30 p.m.

A parade is planned for Saturday at 10:30 a.m. with acts to perform in the park at 12:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Sunday will bring a community church service in the park at 10:30, with Gospel music to be featured at the Sunday afternoon performance beginning at 12 p.m.

Acts scheduled to perform include Special Consensus; Illinois Bobby Awe and Dale Eichor, Iowa; Copper Creek, Minnesota; Punches Family, Missouri; Volume Five, Mississippi; and Terry Smith, Tennessee.

Volume Five will perform Saturday only, organizers said.

Admission for the entire weekend is $35. Admission for Friday-Saturday evening is $20 and an all-day pass Saturday is $25. Sunday admission is a free will donation. Children under 14 are free.
