Janna Greenfield passed away May 25 in Shell Point Village, Ft. Myers, Fla.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 20 at 1:30 p.m. at the Missionary Alliance Church in Blairsburg.
Janna was born Oct. 22, 1936 on the family farm near Kamrar to Arend and Gertie Greenfield.
She graduated from Kamrar High School and continued her education, graduating from Northwestern College and Swedish College of Nursing, receiving an RN degree.
Her life calling was to serve as a medical missionary in Africa. Janna studied French language, tropical medicine and midwifery in Brussell, Belgium, before beginning her missionary service in 1965 in D.R. Congo.
She moved to Ft. Myers after retiring in 2003.
Janna is survived by two brothers, Arland (Jeri), of Jewell, Lyle (Miriam), of Ames, two sisters, Thora Peterson (Dennis), of Dows, Gelene Springston (Larry), of Parker, Colo., and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Lavern.
