Blank Children’s Tractor Ride to stop in WC Wednesday

June 18, 2013
The Daily Freeman Journal

A tractor ride featuring country music singer Tom Wurth will come through Webster City breifly on Wednesday morning at about 10 a.m.

The Blank Children's Tractor Ride, which has been working its way across the state from Onawa to Dubuque, was the idea of Wurth and Dick Barkema, a Klemme man, and began last year. The route for the ride follows old Highway 20, and will stop in Webster City on its way from Fort Dodge to Iowa Falls.

The Webster City Chamber of Commerce will be on hand to offer cookies and water during the stop.

The ride will end on June 22 in Dubuque with a large concert by Wurth. Donations to the hospital will be accepted.
