WILLIAMS - No. 12-ranked (Class 2A) AGWSR Ackley wasted no time in asserting its dominance over Northeast Hamilton in a non-conference softball game here on Friday.

The Cougars (3-0) scored three runs in the first inning, led 4-0 after two and then tacked on six more runs in their final two at bats to blitz the Trojets, 10-0 in 6 innings.

AGWSR finished with 13 hits, including three doubles, off NEH senior pitcher Molly Greenfield.

"They just out played us," NEH head coach Natalie Ostheimer said. "I wasn't disappointed at all with Molly's pitching, but I just don't think our heads were in it."

Morgan Rose ripped two doubles for the Cougars. Ella Frazier drove in three runs.

NEH (1-3) received a fourth-inning double off the bat of Jennifer Jeffers. Greenfield and Jenn Willems both lashed singles.
