CLARION - Perfect and almost perfect, that's been Kaitlyn Biere so far in a pair of lopsided North Central Conference softball games.
Batters step to the plate and the Webster City senior right-hander sits them down.
For the second time in four days, Biere tossed a no-hitter here Friday night in the Lynx 13-0, 4-inning beat down of Clarion-Gold-field. It came on the heels of a 3-inning perfect game against Clear Lake on Tuesday.

WCHS catcher Maddie Anderson stares down a Clarion-Goldfield base runner during the first inning on Friday in Clarion. She had two RBIs in a 13-0 Lynx win.
"(Biere) pitched really well again," WCHS head coach Jess Howard said of the six-strikeout gem. "She did a good job of adjusting to the strike zone as the game went on."
Biere actually plunked the first Cowgirl batter of the game and walked another in the bottom of the first inning, but she put it on auto pilot from there as only one other Clarion-Goldfield player reached base on an error.
WCHS (2-1, 2-0 NCC) did all the scoring it would need in the first inning. Five runs crossed the dish; the frame included doubles by Mikaleh McCoy and Erin Anderson.

The Lynx have outscored their two NCC foes 13-0 in the first inning.
"It's what we wanted to see the girls do," Howard said. "Come out, set the tone and be aggressive, and it makes it easier to make the plays defensively when you've got that cushion."
WCHS finished with seven hits and took advantage of five Clarion-Goldfield (1-2, 0-1 NCC) errors.
McCoy went 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Tiffany Constable smacked a double during the Lynx two-run second, and Hannah Myers and Allie Flaws both singled.
Maddie Anderson collected two RBIs; Flaws chipped in one.
WCHS will look to remain unbeaten in the conference this evening when it hosts Eagle Grove at Lynx Field. The first pitch is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
