WILLIAMS - It was all offense all the time here yesterday evening in a softball shootout that ended with a football score.
West Hancock and Northeast Hamilton combined to lace 32 hits and score 31 runs, but the Eagles had the firepower late as they scored 18 times over the final four innings to rally for a 21-10 non-conference victory.
Kellie Schmit and Haley Hiscocks blasted home runs for West Hancock (4-0), which roughed up Northeast Hamilton senior pitcher Molly Greenfield to the tune of 19 hits. The Trojets (1-2) also committed seven errors behind Greenfield.

Freshman Andi Anderson (5) slides into the plate for an early Northeast Hamilton run during its non-conference game against West Hancock last night in Williams. The Eagles won the wild contest, 21-10.
"It was a battle in the first four innings, but they finished a little stronger," NEH head coach Natalie Ostheimer said. "It was the little things that killed us, and one mistake opened the floodgates."
NEH led 5-3 after three innings, but was held scoreless over the final two frames. The Trojets finished with 13 hits.
"We hit the ball tremendously and I was ecstatic with that," Ostheimer said. "We just need to keep our heads high and keep hitting."
