HUXLEY - Ballard's talent and depth took over on the singles and doubles courts in a sweep of Webster City here last night.
The Bombers used 12 players en route to the 9-0 victory. None of their singles players participated in doubles.
"Ballard was a much better team, but we never gave up during our meet," WCHS head coach Matt Manson said. "The kids are getting a better handle at the mental side of tennis ... they continue to work at getting better every time we take the court."
Andrew Straw had the strongest night for the Lynx, as he pushed Bryce Hull in the No. 4 singles match before Hull escaped with a 10-8 victory. Manson was also pleased with his effort in doubles when he teamed up with Chris Pergande in a 10-6 setback against Ryan Allen and Joe Kruger.
"Andrew has played well for the past two nights," Manson said.
WCHS is scheduled to travel to Fort Dodge on Thursday to take on St. Edmond.
