JEWELL - Seniors Brittany Butler and Maggie Peters provided solid leadership for the South Hamilton girls' golf team yesterday at the Jewell Golf and Country Club, as they powered the Hawks to a triangular meet victory over Clarion-Goldfield and Collins-Maxwell-Baxter.
South Hamilton turned in a 210. The Cowgirls finished with a 215, the Raiders a 267.
Butler nudged out her teammate for the medalist honor by posting a 45. Peters and Clarion-Goldfield's Milaela Livengood shared the runner-up spot with 46s.
"The two seniors were anxious to get out because it's been a goofy spring for everyone," South Hamilton head coach Kathi Fisher said. "We have a lot of improvement to make, but that's good because I know we can do it."
