Greenfield, Jeffers power Trojets to ISC road win

DUNKERTON - The Northeast Hamilton girls' basketball team started fast and ended strong last night in a 43-38 Iowa Star Conference victory over Dunkerton.

The Trojets (5-12, 4-10 ISC) jumped out to a 17-4 lead after one quarter, only to fall behind in the fourth quarter before they rallied to secure the mild upset over the Red Raiders (7-10, 6-7 ISC).

"We got off to a good start and that was a big key, and then we did all the little things down the stretch that it takes to win," NEH head coach Bret Schutt said. "We were really solid and we couldn't be happier to get this win."

Molly Greenfield led the Trojets with 18 points and Jennifer Jeffers produced a double-double - 10 points and 12 rebounds.

"Jennifer Jeffers played a tremendous game for us," Schutt said.
