To the Editor
As spring approaches, we look forward with hope to warmer days, and to the beauty of green grass and flowers. Another spring event that brings us hope is the American Cancer Society Daffodil Days. Every year we get closer to a world without cancer with survival rates now over 67% and rising and Daffodil Days is part of making that happen.
You can help the American Cancer Society save lives by volunteering your time to help coordinate daffodil orders at your business, school or place of worship. We also need help putting orders together during Daffodil Days Week, March 11-15, 2013.
Make a minimum $10 donation to receive a bunch of approximately 10 daffodils. This year features Ray O. Hope, the special BoydsTM Bear designed exclusively for American Cancer Society Daffodil Days Bear and a Bunch TM that can be ordered for a donation of $25. You might also consider a $25 donation to help the American Cancer Society anonymously deliver Gift of Hope bouquets to local cancer patients.
To find out more about American Cancer Society Daffodil Days, please call Andrea Hanus, your local volunteer-staff partner. Making our local American Cancer Society Daffodil Days successful takes the support of many area residents. Please consider supporting our fight against cancer by giving your time or making a donation.
