Redhawks pepper NEH boys by 50

January 9, 2013
The Daily Freeman Journal

TRAER - Size, speed, athletic ability and experience all went to the North Tama boys' basketball team here last night, and it showed in the final tally.

The Redhawks scored early and often, and blasted Iowa Star Conference rival Northeast Hamilton, 71-21.

North Tama (11-1, 9-0 ISC) - the frontrunner in the conference - led 18-2 after one period and then extended its lead to 46-7 at the intermission.

"They're big, they're very athletic and they're a very good team," NEH head coach John Seiser said after his team's fourth consecutive loss. "They full-court pressed us and we had 19 turnovers in the first half, so it was a difficult night."

The Trojans (4-6, 3-6 ISC) were without starting point guard Trevor Klaver because of the flu.

Logan Seiser led NEH with six points. Noah Ronnfeldt added five and Austin Smith chipped in four.
