Food and drink aren't usually allowed in a library, but there will be an exception on Jan. 27 from 2 to 4 p.m. That's when the Friends of the Kendall Young Library will host the inaugural "Festival of Chocolate" event. It's a fundraiser to help fund library programs and activities not covered in the normal operating budget, according to event organizers. Admission is four dollars for Friends of the Library members and five dollars for non-members. Kids under 10 get in for two dollars. Organizers hope the event will become an annual mid-winter celebration of all things chocolate.
