Fouls an issue for Trojans, who drop first contest of season to Janesville

BLAIRSBURG - Up throughout the first half, the Northeast Hamilton boys' basketball team found itself in hot water where fouls were concerned in the third quarter and Janesville took advantage here last night.

Trojan starters Noah Ronnfeldt and Trevor Klaver were both relegated to the bench for more than 7 minutes of the third quarter after they both picked up their fourth foul and the Wildcats went on a 17-6 run over the 8-minute stretch to jump ahead for good en route to a 51-44 victory.

"We had three starters with three fouls at halftime and then it got worse in the second half," NEH head coach John Seiser said. "We've got to have our starters on the floor and that was really the difference in the game."

Down 32-24 to start the final period, NEH (2-1, 2-1 ISC) - which suffered its first loss - trimmed its deficit to five, but back-to-back turnovers squashed the final rally.

Junior sharpshooter Logan Seiser kept the Trojans afloat offensively, as he finished with 22 points. He canned all three of the team's 3-point baskets.

"Logan really did have a good night," John Seiser said. "He shot the ball really well."
