The Daily Freeman Journal

CLARKSVILLE - The Northeast Hamilton boys' basketball team spotted Clarksville an 11-0 first-quarter lead before beginning the road to recovery in Iowa Star Conference play Friday night.

The Trojans climbed to within 15-10 at the half, moved ahead in the third period and won, 33-25.

"Midway through the second quarter we finally started to settle down, but it was still tough going," NEH head coach John Seiser said.

Point guard Trevor Klaver sat out the first half with the flu, but gave it a go over the final 16 minutes and nailed a pair of clutch 3-point buckets.

Noah Ronnfeldt led the unbeaten Trojans (2-0, 2-0 ISC) with 12 points. Clarksville (0-3, 0-2 ISC) focused its defensive efforts on Logan Seiser; he still managed to score seven.

Klaver finished with six points and Stephen Chamness added five.
