The calendar is full of holiday events planned for Webster City this weekend. From kids crafts to cookies and holiday treats to the music of the season, there are plenty of opportunities for area residents to catch a little Christmas spirit.

Saturday morning, the annual Asbury United Methodist Women's Cookie Walk will be held in the church parlors beginning at 9 a.m. For $15, those participating can fill a large box with holiday treats. Proceeds from the event go to benefit the church's mission projects.

Children can enjoy Breakfast with Santa from 8 to 10 a.m. at Riverview Early Childhood Center.

Every Saturday, the Kendall Young Library shows a film for children in grades kindergarten and above from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Showing this Saturday is, "Arthur Christmas," rated PG.

Santa's Workshop will be open Saturday afternoon from 1 to 3 p.m. at city hall. Santa will be on hand to visit with children. Also during the afternoon, kids can make special Christmas crafts, decorate cookies and have some refreshments. The event is sponsored by the Webster City Chamber of Commerce.

"Always Believe" is the theme for the Webster City Community Chorus Concert this weekend. Performances are Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m. A free will offering will be taken to help support the chorus.
