The Daily Freeman Journal

NEVADA - A rough 32 minutes on the court resulted in a 58-point loss for the South Hamilton girls' basketball team here last night.

Nevada limited the Hawks to just three total field goals in a 64-6 Heart of Iowa Conference victory.

"This is going to be a growing year for us, we know that, but I was a little disappointed that we didn't come out and compete," South Hamilton head coach Kathi Fisher said. "We have to get that team chemistry going and so far we haven't got that pulled together yet."

Nevada (3-0, 2-0 HOIC) led 14-2 after one quarter, 29-4 at the half and 42-6 at the end of three periods.

Mattea Detrick, Ella Jans and Sarah Rudy all had a bucket for the Hawks (0-2, 0-2 HOIC).

South Hamilton will be at home on Friday to take on Saydel at 6 p.m.
