BKD LLP has released an audit report on Hamilton County Public Hospital d/b/a/ Van Diest Medical Center, in Webster City.
The hospital's revenues before capital grants, contributions and related earnings totaled $24,336,887 for the year ended June 30, 2012, a seven percent increase over the prior year. The revenues included $22,368,375 in net patient revenue, $1,293,330 of other operating revenue, $506,101 of property taxes and $43,207 for interest and other income. The hospital also received $125,874 in capital grants and contributions.
Expenses for the year totaled $24,561,572, a four percent increase over the prior year, and included $10,920,538 for wages and employee benefits, $2,997,806 for medical and professional fees, and $10,643,228 for other operating expenses including depreciation.
