The next Chamber-sponsored "From How to Wow" seminar will be held Nov. 14. It will feature the president of the Iowa Association of Business and Industry, Mike Ralston. To register for the Wednesday luncheon, call the Chamber office (832.2564). The seminar will be in the Activity Room at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1229 Kathy Lane with lunch available at 11:30 a.m. Cost of the luncheon is $10 for Chamber members and $15 for non-members.

"For Webster City businesses, learning how to work and communicate with our elected representatives, senators and Executive Branch agencies is something we should be more active in for communicating topics that can assist the growth of our community," said Carrie Fitzgerald. "We are looking forward to Mike's insights."

IABI has served as a voice of 1,300 Iowa business and chambers of commerce across Iowa since 1903. The mission of the Association is "To foster a favorable business, economic, governmental and social climate within the State of Iowa so that our citizens have the opportunity to enjoy the highest possible quality of life," according to Mike Ralston. Members have the opportunity to network, learn best practices in Lean Processing, workforce, workers' compensation, controlling healthcare costs, employee drug testing, environmental issues and developing leadership. In addition, IABI's committee structure includes public policy committees focused on economic growth and tax issues.
