Still time to get flu shot

October 29, 2012
The Daily Freeman Journal

There is still time for local residents to get a flu vaccine.

Hamilton County Public Health will host two flu clinics in the coming

week.

A walk-in clinic will be held Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the public health office, 821 Seneca St. Public health officials will also be at Asbury United Methodist Church for the Election Day luncheon. Shots will be given from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $25, but those on Medicare are asked to bring their card along.

Influenza usually shows symptoms of high fever, moderate to severe fatigue and weakness, extreme exhaustion and headaches, according to the Iowa Department of Public Health.

For more information on flu vaccine, contact Hamilton County Public

Health, 832-9565.
