Compiling family history into a book is a great way of preserving family memories. Alvin D. Ankrum authored such a book in July of 2010 on the Seamands and Neely families and their colonial ancestors. Charles Neely, a Civil War veteran, served as Sheriff of Hamilton County for two terms, beginning in 1887. Descendents of the these families still live in Hamilton County.
