The next in the Webster City Chamber of Commerce-sponsored "From How to Wow" seminar series is planned for Thursday.
The seminar, "Embracing Tourism," will be held from 11:30am to 1 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1229 Kathy Lane. Organizers said the seminar will discuss how businesses and organizations can get more involved in tourism in Webster City, the impact of tourism on the state of Iowa and how other communities embrace tourism.
The panel of experts for the day will include the Shawna Lode, Iowa Tourism manager from the Department of Tourism; Ann Vogelbacher, director of Central Iowa Tourism Region and Vicki Mallory- Chamber executive from Algona.
"This will be a great learning experience for all businesses in Webster City," said Carrie Fitzgerald, Webster City Chamber of Commerce director.

Chamber officials also announced that the November session of "From How to Wow" - the final one for this year - will be a seminar on how to work with elected officials.
The session will be held Nov. 14 at Trinity Lutheran Church from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The presenter will be Mike Ralston, CEO of the Iowa Association of Business & Industry.
