BLAIRSBURG - Dressed in camouflage and looking for redemption, the Northeast Hamilton volleyball team stormed out and made its loud and attentive crowd proud during 'Jets for Vets Night here on Thursday.

The squad honored local veterans Chad Davis - the husband of Northeast Hamilton teacher Ashley Davis - and former NEH student Hilary Hollingshead before going out and sweeping Iowa Star Conference rival CAL in three sets, 25-15, 25-17, 25-23.

CAL (3-11, 1-4 ISC) handled the Trojets at the Clarion-Goldfield Invitational earlier this month.

Northeast Hamilton’s Taylor Olson goes low to pass the ball to the front row against CAL last night in Blairsburg. The Trojets won in 3 sets.

"It was a great night," NEH head coach Kacey Pruismann said. "I think we raised quite a bit of money (for the Armed Forces Foundation) and the girls played really well. It was sweet redemption for us and you can definitely see the improvement from the first time that we played them."

Senior Molly Greenfield a jack of all trades on the court blasted eight kills, collected nine digs and handed out 12 assists to lead the Trojets (6-12, 3-2 ISC), who jumped back over .500 in the conference. Classmate Jennifer Jeffers tacked on six kills, nine digs and two service aces.

NEH starting libero Jaidyn Timm left the match in Set No. 2 with flu-like symptoms, but Pruismann said her team rolled with punches.
