RANDALL?-Residents of Randall now have the opportunity to spruce up their property with some financial assistance from the city, after action by the City Council at its regular monthly meeting last week.

A sidewalk improvement grant is now available. Any homeowner can apply for up to 50 percent of their sidewalk replacement up to a maximum of $300. The grants are available for the current fiscal year. A similar program has been in place in the past in Randall. Funds for the grants, up to a total of $600 annually, will come from the town's general fund.

In other business, the owner of the Junk Gypsy was at the meeting to inquire of the council whether the town could again become a member of Hamilton County SEED. The council plans to look at the matter more closely at its October meeting.

Also, the lease agreement for South Hamilton schools to use the Randall gym was renewed for another season at the meeting.
