BLAIRSBURG - "Pen the Panthers" is the theme for the Northeast Hamilton Trojans as they celebrate homecoming 2012 this week.

The Trojans will face the CWL Panthers in a 7 p.m. match-up at Trojan Field on Friday. But throughout the week, students will celebrate with a variety of spirit activities.

The week's activities begin on today with Twin Day. T-shirts will be sold during lunch hour and high school classes will decorate the lunchroom walls.

Spirit activities throughout the week include Pajama Day on Tuesday, Funky Mismatch Day on Wednesday, Hat and Tie Day on Thursday and Spirit Day on Friday.

On Thursday, students will vote for the Homecoming court. This year, all 16 members of the 2012 NEH senior class are candidates, said Homecoming sponsor Sally Greenfield.

"With this being a transition year, the students requested that all members of the senior class be a candidate," said Greenfield, referring to the fact that the Class of 2013 will be the first class from NEH to participate in partial-day sharing with Webster City.

The seniors boys include Stephen Chamness, Matt Darrah, Trevor Klaver, Andy Olson, Noah Ronnfeldt, Steven Smith, Nick Spicher and Kevin Sweet. The senior girls include Amanda Bosch, Sarah Elm, Katie Evans, Molly Greenfield, Jennifer Jeffers, Abby Luppes, Whitney Schutt and Jennifer Willems.

The NEH auditorium will rock with Jam the Gym during the Trojet volleyball game against CAL at 6 p.m. on Thursday.

Following the game, busses will transport students to and from the bonfire hosted by Chamness Technology.

Spirit Day on Friday will include the high school class Olympics, followed by a pep assembly.

NEH faces the CWL Panthers on the gridiron beginning at 7 p.m. and the coronation of the 2012 NEH King and Queen will take place during half time.

The school dance will follow the game from 9:30p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
