Ready for school lunch

August 16, 2012
The Daily Freeman Journal
The newly renovated middle school/high school kitchen and commons at South Hamilton were open to area residents Tuesday evening so everyone could get a look at the finished project before school starts on Thursday. The $1.2 million renovation included a new entrance to the east side of the building as well as new kitchen equipment and flooring to replace what had been in use since the building was completed in 1969. The project was started in April and finished just in time for the start of the 2012-13 school year. Above, food service worker Linda Barquist shows a new warmer to retired SH teacher, Judi Meyer (left), who stopped by to check out the remodeling.
