Joy Middleton and Derek Niklasen are announcing their engagement and plans for a Sept. 22 wedding at Asbury United Methodist Church in Webster City. Parents of the couple are John and Marilyn Middleton of Webster City and Dale and Betty Niklasen of Kimballton.
Middleton is a graduate of Webster City High School and Iowa State University. She is employed by the City of Story City as Recreation & Aquatics Supervisor. Niklasen is a graduate of Elk Horn-Kimballton High School and Iowa State University. He is employed by Monsanto in Huxley as a Research Assistant. The couple will reside in Ames.
