The Pheasants Forever and the Boone Valley Izaak Walton League will host the third annual shooting event for youth on Wednesday afternoon at the Izaak Walton League Park southwest of Webster City.

The event is open to young people ages 7 to 17 accompanied by a parent. The event will begin at 4:30 p.m. and a light supper of hot dogs, chips and watermelon will be served, according to organizers.

Trap shooting, .22 gauge shotguns, B.B. guns and archery will be featured. Equipment will be provided at the site, organizers said. There is no cost to attend, but a parental waiver is required to be signed.
