As the time for RAGBRAI -the Register's Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa -?approaches, committee officials are still looking for more volunteers to help with a variety of tasks to make for a fun and safe overnight stop on July 24.
It takes a whole village to create a successful celebration of this nature. For the past six months, many volunteers have been working long hours to create decorations, secure entertainment, spruce up the community and make sure that all the riders and the residents will be safe. Greeters will be on hand to welcome the anticipated 20,000 riders to Webster City and others will be there to bid a fond farewell as the cyclists depart on July 25.
More help is still needed. It was announced Tuesday that people are needed to help assemble the main stage equipment. To volunteer for this or other duties, call the Chamber office, 832-3564.
