Joyce Jacobsen, age 61, of Fort Dodge died on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge. Services will be 10:30 am Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Livermore, with Father Jim Tigges celebrating. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Livermore.
Joyce Marie Herold, the daughter of Leo John and Luella (Schmitt) Herold, was born on December 18, 1950 in Little Falls, Minnesota. She graduated from Twin Rivers High School in 1969. On December 22, 1996 Joyce was united in marriage with Lewis Jacobsen at Trinity Lutheran Church in Webster City. Joyce had worked as a press operator at Frigidaire in Webster City for 17 years, an adult day trainer at Sunrise Community of Collier County for 2 years, a product inspector at Arthrex for 2 years and as a cashier at Wal-Mart in Naples, FL for 8 years. She enjoyed her bird sanctuary, motorcycle rides with Lewis, yard work, painting figurines, spending time with her grandchildren and taking care of her family.
Left to cherish Joyce's memory is her husband of 15 years, Lewis; two sons, Jay Cleveland of Naples, FL, Duwayne Cleveland and his wife Erika of Adrian, MN; a daughter, April Cleveland of Naples, FL; two step daughters, Jessica Boor and her husband Gregory of Ankeny and Katie Godinez and her husband Ramon of Houston, TX; mother, Luella Herold of Humboldt; father and mother-in-law, Lawrence and Ruby Jacobsen of Fort Dodge; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Bob Herold of Loveland, CO and Tony Herold and his wife Kathy of Magnolia, AR; and a sister, Linda Everhart of Fort Dodge. She was preceded in death by her father, Leo Herold and two brothers, Allen and Donald Herold.

Helen V. Axtell, 90, of Eagle Grove, passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday at Foust Funeral Home in Goldfield. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Holmes Cemetery.
