A crowd-pleaser despite the heat

July 5, 2012
The Daily Freeman Journal

Despite the heat, crowds of people attended the annual Independence Day celebration held in Williams on Wednesday.

The parade featured Freedom Riders, area churches, businesses, organizations, emergency vehicles and classic cars.

Afterwards, people enjoyed the park activities, including rides, a cake walk, Bingo, the ever-favorite pop toss, running races and a lunch of beefburgers, walking tacos and homemade slices of pie.
