Sibling classes for future big brothers and sisters are held one Saturday morning per month at Van Diest Medical Center for children ages 3 to 8 and their parents.
The purpose of the class is to assist the expectant family during the time of transition. Individualized class scheduling is also offered on an as-needed basis for younger or older siblings to allow for the presentation of topics to vary according to the age of the sibling.
The next class will be held July 14 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. in conference rooms 1 and 2 at the hospital. The class is free of charge and includes three 30-minute sessions.
