Upper Des Moines Opportunity, Inc. is busy planning its program to provide school supplies to eligible children in Hamilton County.
Families must pre-register Monday through July 13 to allow UDMO to have everything ordered and finalized for the Back to School Bash on Aug. 13 at ACE. Families may pre-register by calling the UDMO office at 832-6451 and ask for Jamie to set up an appointment to complete the appropriate applications.
The estimated cost to equip each child with their school supplies is approximately $30.
If you would like to help those children in need, donation bins are located at the following businesses: Dollar General, Hy-Vee, K-mart, Fareway, and UDMO.

List of general school supplies used for the Back to School Bash: Wide-rule or narrow spiral notebooks; wide-rule or narrow loose-leaf notebook paper; folders; No. 2 pencils; black ink pens; markers; erasers (large and pencil top); box of jumbo colored crayons; school boxes or school pouches; red ink pens; scissors; glue and glue sticks; yellow highlighter; colored pencils; box of 24 crayons; rulers; and calculators.
