The Webster City City Council will hear a report and recommendations from the Hotel/Motel Tax Board at its meeting at 7 p.m. tonight in council chambers. The committee heard recently presentations from their two finalists - The Webster City Chamber of Commerce and from The Doodlebugs Reunion Committee.
The council will also look at renewal of two Class C Liquor License/Sunday Sales, for Lomita's Mexican Restaurant, Inc., and Casey's General Store at 1300 Second St.
It will also consider a resolution adopting an employee pay plan for 2012-2013; establishing a 28-E agreement for a shared IT director between Hamilton County and the city; a motion on proposed "Lunch and Learn" rehabilitation seminar; and a motion on the sump pump inspection due date.
Four public hearings are also on the schedule. The first is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. on proposed plans and specifications and proposed form of contract and estimate of cost for the Jordan Well Project Contract for Well No. 8 construction. The second is scheduled for 7:20 p.m. in regards to the Jordan Well Project Contract No. 2 for Raw Watermain construction. The third is scheduled for 7:25 p.m. in regards to Jordan Well Project Contract No. 3 for Well House No. 8 construction. At 7:30 p.m., a fourth hearing will be held for the Lehigh-Webster Agreement Amendment for the Lehigh-Webster Transmission and Webster Terminals Facilities between Corn Belt Power Cooperative, MidAmerican Energy Company, the Webster City Municipal Electric Utility, Webster City and certain other electric utilities.
