4-H Club News: Freedom Flickers

The monthly meeting of the Freedom Flickers 4-H Club was held on June 4 at Trinity Lutheran Church. The meeting was called to order by Vice President Kylee King. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Caroline Hippen. Thirteen

members answered roll call "Name one exhibit you plan to take to the fair." Minutes of the last meeting were read by Jenna Short. The treasurer's report was given by Olivia Young.

Volunteers are needed to help with the Butterfly Garden. Help will be needed with planting, games, crafts and snacks. Contact Sherry Leksell if you can help. Fair materials were handed out. Fair entries are due by June 22. Members were encouraged to sign up for Fashion Revue, Share the Fun, Quiz Bowl and Pride of Iowa.

The 4-H Pledge was led by Kylee King. Presentations were given by McKenna Mitchell "Make Your Mark" and Natalie Johnson "Cookie Pizza." Snacks were provided by Hannah and Danielle Durivage and their mother.

Following the meeting, the fair booth and fair float committees met and finalized plans for the county fair.

The next meeting will be July 7 at 1 p.m. at Trinity Church.
