June 26, 2012
The Daily Freeman Journal

The monthly meeting of the Boone Boosters 4-H Club was held on June 2, at the Extension Office. The meeting was called to order by President Mara Borer. The pledge of allegiance was led by Grace Hoffmann. Roll call was "What will you take to the fair" and was answered by 18 members. The secretary's report was read by Katie Greenfield and the treasurer's report was read by Nicole Heinrichs.

For old business, the club discussed more ideas for the fair parade and fair booth committees to use.

New business included the various events that members can sign up for at the County Fair, sign-up for work schedule and fair entry forms were handed out. The 4-H pledge was led by Cheyenne Grunwald. Hostesses were the Grunwald and Steig families. Presentations were given before and after the meeting: Luke Bergeson, "Eggzeptional Eggzatizers"; Trey Tempel, "How to Wash a Chicken"; Jacob Dilley, "How to Create a Flip Book"; and Rachel and Rebecca Steig, "Table Decorations."

The next meeting will be held on Aug. 25 at the Extension Office.
