New shed for Head Start

June 25, 2012
The Daily Freeman Journal
Webster City Head Start children and staff now have a new storage shed that has been built to house their trikes and outdoor play equipment. It was a collaborative effort between YOUR Inc. Head Start, the Webster City High School Building Trades Class and an Enhance Hamilton Foundation County grant The high school class was taught by Jim Dyer who directed the construction and purchases from Lambert’s Lumber using the grant funds. Watching and learning how the shed was constructed by the high school students was a real benefit along with the friendships that were formed between the preschool children and the teenagers. The shed is at Webster City Day Care where the Head Start classroom is located.
