To the Editor:
Thank you to all who donated to the PRIDE in Webster City Beautification Project last week end during the Toll Road fundraiser. More than $1,000 was contributed to the event. These dollars will be spent on projects throughout the city to spruce up, rejuvenate and add to several areas in Webster City. The Boulevard of Valor continues to be weeded and mulched. City entrance signs are groomed on a regular basis. The sculpture event will happen again in West Twin Parks. The area around the Depot at the Wilson-Brewer Park will be weeded as needed. The Railroad Overpass area on East Second St. is being weeded to make way for Tiger Eye Sumac to be planted. The Brewer Park sign on Des Moines Street has new plantings. The downtown garden is looking beautiful.
You, the residents who contributed dollars so these projects can be completed, are one more reason Webster City looks and feels good.
PRIDE in Webster City meets the first Wednesday of each month at 5:15 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall. Come join us.
