JEWELL - Trevor Ullestad and Braxton Risetter reaped the postseason rewards for a memorable golf season yesterday.
The South Hamilton sophomores were named to the Class 2A all-state second team by the Iowa High School Golf Coaches Association after they helped to lead the Hawks to their second consecutive trip to the state tournament.
A year after placing third, South Hamilton finished fourth in the field late last month. Ullestad shot rounds of 82-78 for a 36-hole total of 160 to tie for 15th at the state meet at Spring Valley Golf Course in Livermore, while Risetter carded rounds of 84-81 for a 165, good enough to share 21st.

Ullestad and Risetter were both first-team all-Heart of Iowa Conference selections.
Three other HOIC players earned all-state status; PCM junior Hunter Van Veen - the conference champion - was a first-team pick, while teammates Logan Van Veen, a senior, and Devon Woody, a sophomore, were on the second team.
