Southfield Wellness Community has announced the results of their state survey at the Independent and Assisted Living Apartments. They received what the health industry calls an insufficiency-free recertification, in other words, an inspection with zero deficiencies.
An Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals inspector arrived at the apartments to examine nursing, dietary, social services, activities and environmental concerns. This procedure is performed yearly to insure safety and quality of life for those tenants living at the apartments. The inspection is only done at certified assisted living apartment facilities. Long-term care insurance for assisted living apartment dwellers can only be used at certified homes such as Southfield Wellness Community.
Marilyn Middleton, Southfield marketing coordinator, said, "This insufficiency free survey means our conscientious efforts are paying off with superior quality care."
