DUNKERTON - Northeast Hamilton's ineptitude in the batter's box continued here yesterday evening during its fourth consecutive loss.
Just two days after being no-hit in an 8-0 loss to Southeast Webster-Grand, the Trojans managed just one hit - a fifth-inning single off the bat of Mark Frohwein - in a 10-0, 5-inning loss to Iowa Star Conference rival Dunkerton.
Hunter Wason threw a complete-game for the Red Raiders (4-3, 4-1 ISC), and he fanned 10 Northeast Hamilton batters.
Austin Smith suffered the loss on the mound for the Trojans (2-6, 1-3 ISC). He allowed nine hits, and his defense made four errors behind him.
Dunkerton scored three runs in the first inning, two in the third and closed it out with five in the fifth.
