R.I.P.P. event on June 18

June 1, 2012
The Daily Freeman Journal

STORY CITY - The Bertha Bartlett Public Library, will host Researchers In Paranormal Phenomena June 18 at 7 p.m.

R.I.P.P. is a group of paranormal researchers based out of Fort Dodge. The team officially formed in 2009, though several members of the group have worked together for years. R.I.P.P. investigates businesses, homes, historical locations, public buildings - any place that is reported as paranormal. The group defines paranormal as an event or occurrence that falls outside of the normal experiences or scientific explanation.

When R.I.P.P. is investigating a location, they follow a procedure that includes first interviewing any people involved with the location and doing research into the history of the location. The group utilizes a wide variety of tools and a pre-determined plan upon the actual investigation.

For more information, visit the library's website: www.storycity.lib.ia.us or call (515) 733-2685. Bertha Bartlett Public Library is located at 503 Broad Street in Story City.
