Southfield Wellness Community hosted its annual community hog roast on May 6. In an effort to help local families in need, tax-deductible donations were collected for Upper Des Moines Opportunity, Inc. The total collected at the event was $900. It was approved by ABCM?Corporation, which operates Southfield, to add an extra $500 to make the total donated $1,400.
