DUNCOMBE - The Duncombe Public Library is now offering audiobooks and eBooks to download, as a part of the NEIBORS?consortium.

Your library card is the "key" to downloading the books, from any computer that is connected to the Internet. From a website, you can browse or search for a title you'd like to read or listen to, log in with your library card number and download the title to your computer. You can read the book from the computer or transfer to portable or mobile devices.

"This is a great way to make more of the library's resources available to our users 24/7 - 365 days a year," Library Director Mary Jane Kudla said. "You don't have to come to the library building to check out a book, and you don't have to return it. The book automatically 'returns' to the collection for someone else to borrow."

NEIBOR's collection has fiction and non-fiction titles, as well as books for children and teens; eBooks will check out for two weeks, audiobooks will check out for one week.

The Duncombe Public Library is one of 150 libraries in northern and eastern Iowa that participate in NEIBORS. For more information, visit the NEIBORS website, or contact the library at (515) 543-4646.
