The bride's parents are David Wenzel, of Rudd, and Jane Wenzel, of Mason City. The groom's parents are Tim and Holly Mortenson, of Kamrar, and Jane and Greg Ferrian, of Farmington, Minn.

Wenzel graduated from Iowa State University with a bachelor of science degree in food science and a minor in food safety. She is currently employed with Hydrite Chemical in Waterloo.
Mortenson graduated from Iowa State University with a bachelor of science degree in agronomy. He is employed with Agri-Gold Seed Corn Company in Charles City.
