Ione Butler, 94, Tahlequah, Okla.

Ione E. Butler, 94 of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, formerly of Webster City, died Sunday, May 6, 2012 at the Grace Living Center in Tahlequah. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 16th at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center with Rev. Lyle Greiner officiating. Burial will be held in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday until the time of service.

Ione Ethelyn Flygstad, daughter of Oscar and Ida Anderson Flygstad was born on July 27, 1917 in Jewell, Iowa. She graduated from Jewell High School in 1935. On February 2, 1941 she married Victor W. Butler in Webster City. Mr. Butler died on March 2, 1960. Ione began her career in cosmetology in 1962 until her retirement in 1988. She moved to Tahlequah in September 2009.

Survivors include her daughters, Sharon (Bill) Fugate of Wisconsin; Carol (Darel) Burnett of Boone; Cheryl (Mike) Sutch of Nevada, IA; and son John (Karen) Butler of Tahlequah, OK; 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; brothers Wayne Flygstad of Cheyenne, WY; Orlyn Flygstad of Webster City; and several nieces and nephews.
